The Department of Public Safety manages the operations for the divisions of Fire, Police and Support Services. The Support Services division is made up of three sections: Communications, License and Weights & Measures.
The mission of the department is to provide quality, dependable safety services to the citizens of Columbus by maintaining safe neighborhoods and working cooperatively with citizens to minimize injury, death and property destruction.
