New John R. Maloney Family Health and Wellness Center to Hold Ribbon Cutting 

Center to Provide Comprehensive Healthcare Services in Heart of South Side Neighborhood 

WHAT:
City officials, public health partners, community leaders and South Side residents will hold a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new and improved John R. Maloney South Side Family Health and Wellness Center in the Southern Gateway neighborhood.

WHO:
Michael B. Coleman, Mayor of the City of Columbus; Dr. Teresa Long, Health Commissioner at Columbus Public Health; Priscilla Tyson, Member of Columbus City Council; Tom Horan, CEO of Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers; Dr. Steven Gabbe, Senior Vice President for Health Sciences at The Ohio State University and Chief Executive Officer at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center; Dr. Patricia Temple Gabbe, Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Founder and Principal Investigator of MOMS2B and Senior Medical Director Advisor at The Ohio State University Health Plan; Linda Henry, Community Leader; Pamela Maloney Black,  Maloney Family Representative; and, representatives of the DesignGroup, Daimler Group, North Community Counseling Centers and South Side Community residents.

DETAILS:
The ribbon cutting ceremony celebrates the new and improved John R. Maloney Family Health and Wellness Center on the South Side of Columbus.  The new state-of-the-art facility replaces the former Maloney Health Center which was torn down several years ago due to structural problems. 

The John R. Maloney Family Health and Wellness Center will provide comprehensive health and wellness services starting November 12, including WIC nutritional services, behavioral and specialty health services through Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers and the OSU Wexner Medical Center, behavioral health care from North Community Counseling Centers, and the Moms2Be program.
