Stormwater Variance Requests

Three types of variances from the Stormwater Drainage Manual are possible: Downtown, Non-Stream, and Stream Protection. Note: An updated SWDM Guidance Document is forthcoming. Please contact StormVariance@columbus.gov for questions related to this document and other SWDM variance issues.

Comments: If you would like to comment on a variance request, please submit them to StormVariance@columbus.gov. Comments can be made up to fourteen (14) days after a request is posted. If you need additional time to comment, beyond the time allotted, please submit a request for a time extension with an explanation of why more time is necessary.

Interested Party List If you would like to receive notice of any stormwater variance requests the City receives, please send notice of your interest to StormVariance@columbus.gov.
