Economic Crimes Unit
The ECU is responsible for investigating a vast array of financial crimes, including Embezzlements, Theft in Office, and Theft from the Elderly offenses.
Counter Terrorism Unit
The Terrorism Early Warning Group (TEWG) concept was implemented in the Central Ohio area in 2006 in order to address information sharing concerns as it relates to terrorism.
Missing Persons Unit
The Missing Persons Unit investigates, coordinates, and responds to reports of missing persons, runaway children, and interference with custody incidents.
Mounted Unit
The Columbus Division of Police Mounted Unit is supervised by a sergeant and is staffed with four officers, two part time hostlers, and eleven horses.
TAPS (Teens and Police Service) Program
The TAPS program is an 11-week-long initiative designed for middle and some high school students to establish a connection between today's youth and law enforcement officers.
