Upon arrival, officers found one victim, identified as JAFAR SHALID, M/B/15, suffering from a gunshot wound. Franklin Twp. Fire medics transported SHALID to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 10:01 PM.

Upon arrival, officers found one victim, identified as ADULT #1, inside the residence and suffering from visible injuries. Clinton Twp. Fire medics transported the victim to a local hospital, where ADULT #1 was pronounced deceased at 11:27 PM. The suspect, LATRELL STAFFORD, M/B/19, was detained at the scene and has been charged with Murder.

Upon arrival, they located the M/W victim inside the apartment suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased by CFD Medic #21 at 11:39 am. Officers learned the suspect had fled the apartment with the firearm. Officers searched the area and located the suspect in the 3000 block of Bexvie Ave. The suspect was suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. CFD Medic #21 pronounced the suspect deceased at 12:22 PM.

Details: On September 16, 2023, at 12:09pm, Patrol officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of S 22nd Street on shots fired. Upon arrival, they located the victim, James Jones M/B/36, in the rear of this location suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Grant Hospital by CFD Medic #15 in critical condition. Despite receiving life-saving medical care, the victim was pronounced deceased at 1:00pm.

Details: On September 13, 2023, at approximately 11:38 PM, Columbus Police officers were dispatched to the 1500 Block of South High Street on the report of a shooting. Officers arrived at scene and found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Ms. Tavia Copley was pronounced deceased at scene by Columbus Fire Medic #3 personnel at 11:46 PM. Ms. Taya Mollette was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced deceased at 12:29 AM on September 14, 2023. A third adult victim was transported to a local hospital but is expected to survive their wounds.

Details: On Saturday, January 15, 2023, at 9:09AM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 2900 block of Azelda Ave. on a report of an overdose. On arrival, officers found Joseph Crumpler, 30, suffering from an apparent overdose. CFD Medic 16 transported Crumpler to Riverside Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased. When interviewed by investigators, Rebecca Auborn, 32, admitted to supplying Crumpler with the narcotics that caused his death and stealing from Crumpler while he was incapacitated.

Details: On September 8, 2023, at approximately 8:13pm, officers were dispatched to the 4000 Block of Refugee Rd on the report of a stabbing. Officers arrived at scene and found the Victim #1 suffering from a stab wound. Madison Township Medic #183 personnel arrived and pronounced Victim #1 deceased at 9:08pm. Officers then found Victim #2, also suffering from a stab wound, Victim #2 was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. The name of Victim #1 is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. This investigation is on-going. Updated: On September 9, 2023, the victim from this incident has been identified as Selena M. Edwards, next of kin notification has been made. Detectives have filed an arrest warrant for Khayir A. Lock for his involvement in the death of Ms. Edwards. Mr. Lock is in police custody and will be slated at the Franklin County Jail, once he is released from an area hospital.

Officers found one male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Columbus Fire Medic 162 personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at 1:50 AM. A second victim was transported to an area hospital by associates and is listed in stable condition. It is not yet determined what led up to the shooting, and the incident is under investigation.
