Danius Williams Joins Mayor’s Office As Deputy Chief of Staff

Danius Williams will be joining the Mayor’s Office as Deputy Chief of Staff of Administrative Affairs. She will lead our Human Resources, Civil Service, Technology and Finance and Management, serving as the liaison to those offices.
“Danius is a seasoned improvement and innovation leader, and brings a breadth of expertise in business strategy, organizational and leadership development and innovation,” said Mayor Andrew J. Ginther. “She brings experience from both the public and private sectors and an unwavering commitment to amplifying social impact.”
Williams comes to the city from Slalom LLC where she plays a pivotal role in building the firm's Ohio Public & Social Impact Practice. Danius has adeptly navigated complex landscapes, including work in Columbus neighborhoods, Franklin County, the State of Ohio, Catch Court with Judge Paul Herbert and UBUNTU for Columbus City Schools.
"I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to serve Columbus in this capacity,” said Williams. “As a first-generation immigrant, it has always been a dream of mine to give back to the city that gave my family and I so much and nurtured my curiosity and dreams. I am fully committed to bringing my best every day, being a loyal steward to those I have the honor of supporting, and working every day to make a positive impact on our city."
She has a Master’s Degree in Operational Excellence from Fisher College of Business, a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University and multiple certifications in agile methodology and change management.
Her first day with the city will be April 8.
