Columbus Urban League (CUL) Neighborhood Violence Intervention Initiative: CUL's Neighborhood Violence Intervention Initiative goal is to reduce crime and gang-related violence through street intervention. CUL's gang intervention specialists work with high risk individuals age 14-24 year-olds on the East Side and South Side. The Intervention Specialists constructively mediate conflict and mentor and connect youth to positive opportunities. In addition to the Neighborhood Violence Intervention Initiative program, CUL also a variety of afterschool, housing, summer youth programs, parenting and workforce development programs as well.

Columbus Violence Reduction (CVR): Columbus Violence Reduction (CVR) is the City of Columbus’ adaptation of the National Network for Safe Communities (NNSC) evidence-based Group Violence Intervention (GVI) Model. Community for New Direction (CND): CND provides services for adults and youth in three areas: prevention, intervention, and treatment. HALT Violence: Halt Violence is a nonprofit agency with street validity. They save lives through street mediation and altering mind sets through mentorship. 1.1. Mediation and Violence Intervention

– violence interventionists and interrupters who offer mediation services during conflict to de-escalate potentially violent situations.

Alliance for Safety & Justice: Multi-state organization that aims to replace over-incarceration with more effective public safety solutions rooted in crime prevention, community health, rehabilitation and support for crime victims. 1.2. Hospital-Based Intervention Programs

– servicers visit victims of violence in hospitals to reduce the likelihood of retaliation and curb the possibility of future violence.

VOICE Intervention: VOICE (Violence, Outreach, Intervention, Community and Engagement) assists victims of violent crime who have been referred by Grant Hospital to Columbus Public Health and the Columbus Recreation and Parks APPS program. The VOICE social work/intervention team provides wrap-around services and connects participants to needed medical, clinical and community social service programs.

1.3. Trauma Services

– programs dedicated to providing support and relief to victims and the community following traumatic events.

Buckeye Ranch: The Buckeye Ranch offers clinical and case management services for youth and families to help with coping with trauma and loss. The Buckeye Ranch is also a Manage Care Provider for Franklin County Children's Services (FCCS) through their program Permanent Family Solutions Network (PFSN). PFSN assists families with concerns of abuse, neglect, dependency, and unruly, or delinquent behaviors. Capital City Equestrian, INC: Capital City Equestrian, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded and operated by avid equestrians and experienced social service and educational professionals. Capital City Equestrian, Inc. will provide educational, recreational and developmental services to urban and special needs youth; targeting those youth between the ages of 6 to 18. Columbus State Community College-Weiler Scholars Program: The Weiler Scholars Program provides a unique combination of scholarship, mentorship, and support services to remove barriers to education and help students succeed. YWCA: Provide affordable housing and supportive services for women recovering from drug-related, alcohol-related, and mental illnesses. The YWCA Family Center provides emergency shelter and critical services including, family assistance, family advocacy, childcare, employment and resource center to help central Ohio families find housing. The YWCA Kids Place offers affordable childcare during the school year and summer programs for families in Gahanna and Westerville school districts. Child Development Council of Franklin County: Provides Head Start and Early Head Start educational services to infants and children aged 6 weeks-5 years of age. They operate full and part-day centers, partner with privately-owned child care centers and provide one-on-one home base services. They also offer mental health services, disabilities services, developmental screenings, nutrition services, onsite medical screenings, kindergarten readiness preparation, speech, vision, and hearing screenings, educational field trips, and various family engagement opportunities. Central Community House: A neighborhood-based community center that serves the near east and near south neighborhoods of Columbus, Ohio.
