Working with federal authorities and cybersecurity experts, the City of Columbus continues its investigation and response to a July cybersecurity incident.

The Greenlawn Avenue Low Head Dam is owned and operated by the City of Columbus and is located just upstream of the Greenlawn Avenue Bridge spanning the Scioto River. The overall purpose of the Greenlawn Low Head Dam project is to develop improvements to ensure that the facility fully complies with ODNR requirements for regulated level II dams.
Construction is anticipated to begin in late fall or early spring 2024 and will be completed by 3rd quarter of 2024. A virtual public meeting is anticipated to take place in the second to third quarter, with notifications to be mailed out by the end of second quarter 2023. View the project area map(PDF, 3MB).
Financing is being provided through a below market-rate loan through the OEPA’s Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) Program. Prior to granting this loan, the Ohio EPA required a detailed submittal from the Division of Sewerage and Drainage to determine the project’s eligibility.
