Blueprint Hilltop Eureka/Fremont Permeable Pavers

This project has been combined with the Blueprint Hilltop 1 - Eureka/Fremont Green Infrastructure project. It will install permeable pavers along the following streets: Richardson between Wicklow Road and Palmetto Street, South Wayne Avenue between Fremont Street and Palmetto Street, Sheridan Street between Wheatland Avenue and South Oakley Avenue. It will also install storm sewers along Richardson Avenue, Palmetto Street, South Wayne Avenue, and South Ogden Avenue.

The goal of the project is to provide detention and water quality improvement to rain water and to mitigate frequent flooding within the project area.

Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2024 and be completed in the spring of 2026.

Each impacted resident will receive written notifications from the City's contractor prior of the construction work. The notifications will give information on timing of the work and contact information.

Financing for this project is being provided through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency's Water Pollution Control Loan Fund Program with a below market-rate loan.

The Ohio EPA has completed a Limited Environmental Review (LER) for this project. View the LER and the letter(PDF, 881KB) of "Notice of Issuance of a Limited Environmental Review and Finding of No Significant Impact.”
