Linview Park Green Infrastructure

This joint project between the Departments of Public Utilities and Recreation and Parks will construct a new bioretention basin and expand an existing wetland on City owned property located immediately south of the intersection of Fern Place and Linview Avenue. New park facilities will be constructed around the periphery of the proposed bioretention basin and wetland under a separate construction contract administered by the Department of Recreation and Parks.

The goal of this project is to provide detention and water quality improvement to rain water that will be redirected from the sanitary sewer system by future Blueprint projects. For more information see the Blueprint Linden project summary. The City has obtained an Isolated Wetlands Permit(PDF, 31MB) to construct the proposed facilities.

Construction is expected to begin 4th quarter of 2021, and the estimated construction cost is approximately $2.75 million.
