Working with federal authorities and cybersecurity experts, the City of Columbus continues its investigation and response to a July cybersecurity incident.

This project will construct behind the curb bioretention basins (green infrastructure) within the Westgate neighborhood area, as well as regional basins within multiple, existing traffic islands and at select locations within Westgate Park (map below).
The goal of the project is to provide detention and water quality improvement to rain water that will be redirected from the sanitary sewer system by future phases of the Blueprint projects. For more information visit Blueprint Columbus.
Construction is expected to begin in winter 2022.
Financing for this project is being provided through a below market-rate loan from the OEPA's Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) Program. Prior to granting this loan, the Ohio EPA required a detailed submittal from the Division of Sewerage and Drainage to determine the project's eligibility.
