Boxing

 

The Columbus Recreation and Parks Boxing is dedicated to teaching kids/youth and adults the fundamentals and or advance skills to be successful in the area of boxing at the amateur, professional levels, and can also be used for fitness and self defense.

Our programs are open to children male and female from ages 8-18 and adults. At all sites we emphasize the importance of team work, good sportsmanship and fair play, also you will learn many skills that will help you become better in the area of boxing and in everyday life. 


Fees & Passbook Dues:
Ages 8-18 - Free*
*There may be additional equipment cost. (i.e. mouth piece, wraps, etc.)
Adults - $25 per session
Passbook - $50*
* Anyone (regardless of age) must have a passbook to compete. Get one at usaboxing.org

GiGi Jackson - Women's National Champion 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001.

Tiffany Logan - US Women's Heavyweight Champion 1997.

Men
Hilmer Kenty - 2 time AAU Champ 1974-75, WBA lightweight Champ in 1981.

Jerry Page - Olympic Gold Medal winner 1984.

Michael Clark - Golden Glove Champ 1992, Olympic trials semi-finalist 1992, Boxing show "Contender" participant.

James "Buster" Douglas - 1990 Heavyweight Champion of the World.
