2014 MBE of the Year Application The City of Columbus, Equal Business Opportunity Office is seeking applicants to apply for the distinct recognition as the 2014, "Minority Business of the Year".  The recipient of the "Minority Business of The Year" Award will be announced during the Mayor's "Welcome to Columbus" reception on Thursday May 15th at the Renaissance Hotel.  The City of Columbus recognizes outstanding achievement by minority entrepreneurs in building and sustaining businesses in the city. In recognizing outstanding business achievement, the MBE Award communicates the impact of minority businesses on the city's economy and it shows the City's supports for the next generation of minority entrepreneurs.
