CoGo Bike Share Seeks Art Submissions for Specially Designed Bicycle

CoGo Bike Share is excited to announce their call for submissions for their bike art contest. The contest "Your City. Your Design. Your CoGo." will begin March 31 and end April 30. CoGo is asking for artists to submit designs that reflect what inspires them about Columbus. This specially designed bike will be released into the system on their first birthday celebration on July 11.

"Community support for CoGo Bike Share has been overwhelming thus far," said Mayor Michael B. Coleman. "This contest is a great opportunity to get local artists and residents involved in a creative city project."

By visiting CoGo's website or their blog, artists can find the rules and regulations for the art contest along with a bike wrap template they will use to create their design.  After the submissions deadline, CoGo's review team, with help from the City, will choose the five finalists and winner of the contest. Finalists will be contacted for further information on their design. Finalists must attend CoGo's birthday celebration July 11 in order to be recognized on stage and to be awarded their prizes. Prizes for the contest include free burritos for one year from Chipotle, a specially designed Seagull Bag, a free annual membership to CoGo, among a few other surprises.
