COLUMBUS PUBLIC HEALTH TO HOLD FOOD SAFETY HEARING

Food safety hearings have been scheduled by Columbus Public Health’s (CPH) Hearing Officer due to violations of the Ohio Administrative Code 3717 and the Columbus City Health Code.

MORE INFO: The Food Safety Program is responsible for licensing and inspecting retail food businesses. These include grocery stores, restaurants, bars, delis, convenience stores, vending machines, food carts, and all food sold at fairs and festivals. The inspections are a service provided for the public to ensure the safety of Columbus’s food supply. 

Columbus Public Health is protecting health and improving lives as the local public health agency for the City of Columbus. Established in 1904, the department is charged with assuring conditions in which people can be healthy. Columbus Public Health is made up of a range of programs providing clinical, environmental, health promotion, and population-based services. The department has an annual budget of approximately 46 million dollars and is staffed by about 450 full-and part-time employees.
