Vaccines for Children

Program Information

smiling female toddlerAll routine children's vaccines are available at Columbus Public Health. Some immunizations for high-risk conditions may require a prescription from a physician. Columbus Public Health does not provide travel immunization. 

Recommended Children's Vaccines

  • Hepatitis A and B
  • Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Whooping Cough (Tdap)
  • Polio (inactivated)
  • Pneumonia (Prevnar-13)
  • Haemophilus Influenzae B (Hib)
  • Rotavirus (Rotateq)
  • Meningitis (MCV4)
  • Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR)
  • Chickenpox (Varicella)
  • Human Papillomavirus* (HPV4, Gardasil)
  • Influenza (during flu season)

Children 18 and under may receive all required vaccines, and if eligible, all recommended vaccines.

Vaccine Safety Information 

Fees for Children's Vaccine (subject to change)

  • Administration charge for each vaccination: $10.00
  • Nurse Assessment fee for each visit: $15.00
  • All fees are on a sliding scale for uninsured children 18 years old and younger.
  • No child will be denied if not able to pay.

*Note: we don't have Human Papillomavirus vaccine available for children with private insurance.

    Insurance cards must be presented at time of service, and will be accepted if the patient is eligible for coverage. To use an insurance card you must present photo ID. If you have immunization coverage with another insurance company, check with them for an in-network place to get vaccines, or visit us and ask for a copy of the Fee Ticket which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
